As a Senior Consultant, you will contribute to various business development initiatives including identifying new prospects, maximizing value provided to current clients, supporting proposal development for targeted opportunities, and conducting desk research to support development of collateral for client presentations.
About the Job
Help manage a predefined territory and designated accounts, selling consultative services with the goal of securing long-term relationships.
Conduct territory analysis and support market business plans to ensure full coverage of the market and to meet targeted revenue objectives.
Understand prospective client’s business requirements and appropriately match consultative services and solutions to meet the prospect’s needs.
Effectively articulate and package consultative services and solutions to maximize receptivity by clients.
Leverage diverse consultant specialists as effective selling resources.
Assist in building a pipeline of qualified prospects to help support the revenue goals and objectives of the Consulting practice.
Identify, evaluate, and recommend strategic alliances; leverage a manageable portfolio of alliance partnerships.
Assist in the promotion and marketing of Consulting services to accelerate client acceptance.
Work collaboratively with other Consulting team members to generate and distribute introductory marketing letters and other communications (e.g., emails), advertising notices (media kits, press releases, presentation packets), concept sheets and proposals and follow-up communications.
Serve as a liaison between project team and client for effective client relations building and identification of new opportunities with existing clients.
Identify appropriate contact source(s) within organizations identified as potential new client prospects for Consulting.
Coordinate meetings and other relevant communications between the Business Development team and prospective clients.
Prepare introductory presentation slides and other business development related documentation for meetings with prospective clients.
Support the development and implementation of strategic marketing initiatives for the services and solutions offered by the Consulting practice.
Perform other business development-related duties, as requested.
The ideal candidate will meet the following minimum requirements:
Master’s degree in a health or business discipline such as MBA, MPH or MS with at least 5 years of business development experience in a consulting firm or the biopharmaceutical industry, or a Bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years of business development experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent presentation skills
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite programs
Self-starter, ambitious, and driven
Ability to also work independently with minimal supervision
Proven ability to identify evidence needs for commercial, market access, medical, safety, and regulatory stakeholders
Good understanding of biopharmaceutical value chain and business processes
Job Location: Two part-time positions available; remote location with scheduling flexibility
