Salary Grade: GN05 Salary Range: $31,200 – $44,091
This position is located at Wake Correctional Center, Raleigh, NC, Wake County. This position will function in the centralized mail processing center of a minimum security male correctional facility. Duties include sorting and inspecting all inmate mail. Process and handle legal mail; utilize inmate banking system to enter funds received for inmates; process and handle all incoming packages and all outgoing mail and packages. Meet distribution needs for both the facility and inmates ensuring all policy and procedures are applied for the safety and security to the public and staff. Preference will be given to mail processing/handling experience.

Documented knowledge of clerical/secretarial skills

Documented knowledge in the use of various office machines
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and one year of administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
