STARGATES provides Program Management and Systems Engineering support to the Program Executive Office Unmanned Small Combatants (PEO USC). The Program Management and Systems Engineering efforts support the acquisition and maintenance of the unmanned maritime capabilities of multiple ship platforms and systems, from procurement through sustainment.
In support of PEO USC, the Cyber Security Development Engineer will investigate, oversee and implement RF warfare systems (sonar and sensor packages) and technology advancements to determine how cyber related protection strategies need to evolve in light of hardware and software advancements in these systems. Will customize solutions to cyber issues using Risk Management Framework (RMF) and alternate strategies as appropriate. Will develop software tools for undersea vehicles, incorporating DevSecOps.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
2-5 years’ experience in cyber security
Information Assurance Management Level 1 (IAM 1) Certification, to include one of the following:
o Certified Authorization Professional (CAP)
o Certified Network Defender (CND)
o Security+ CE
o GIAC Security Leadership Certification (GSLC)
GIAC = Global Information Assurance Certification
Specialized experience in cyber, including computer programming, software design to include DevSecOps, cyber security (defensive or offensive) and cyber forensics.
Working knowledge of NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Working knowledge of NIST 800 Series of controls.
Certified in NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF)
10+ years’ experience in cyber security
