The Director of Global HR is a strategic and “hands-on” position with responsibility for leading the global human resources function. As a member of the leadership team, this role drives the key philosophies, programs, and activities regarding the management of people and culture in support of the strategic business objectives. The director also manages SEMI’s organizational design, compensation and benefits, training and development, employee relations, talent acquisition, and compliance. This role manages a team of 2 in the US and provides oversight and support for HR representatives in China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, and Germany.
This full-time, exempt management position and reports to the VP of Finance & Administration at SEMI Milpitas Office.

Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on employee relations issues by offering the best solutions and outcomes – ensuring legal requirements are met, investigating employee complaints, conducting exit interviews, developing necessary documentations and process.
Support senior management with scaling the business and driving organizational development. Develops and drives company-wide programs and initiatives (e.g., performance management, compensation strategy, workforce planning, development and training, and organizational change).

Implement and drive initiatives that improves employee engagement, retention, productivity, morale, creativity, innovation, inclusion, and job satisfaction.

Improve the HR Team’s effectiveness and efficiency:
Lead the HR team and manage the resources needed to deliver a high-touch employee experience.
Design and implement corporate policies and procedures. Provide effective compliance programs with all applicable federal and state laws.
Adopt HR best practices, process, systems improvements.

KNOWLEDGE OR EXPERIENCE:
Education in Human Resource, Business Management, or Organization Psychology
Possess strong business acumen.
8+ years’ experience in HR, organization development, people programs, employee relations, staffing or other large-scale people-related roles.
Demonstrated experience with cross-functional collaboration and influencing.
Experience partnering with business leaders to help build successful organizations and making sure all people decisions are based on data.
Proficiency in MS Office and various HRIS databases.
