Peachford Hospital is searching for a caring, compassionate and experienced psychiatric Charge Nurse (Registered Nurse) (RN) to lead the day shift (7a-3p/Tuesday – Friday/No Weekends) on our Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Unit. A Sign-On Bonus is available for this full time position.
What Role Will You Play?
The Charge Nurse is responsible for ensuring the milieu of the unit runs smoothly and that our patients receive the most appropriate care. The Charge Nurse (RN) makes unit staff assignments and follows through with team members to ensure all responsibilities are completed on a timely basis. All of Peachford’s Registered Nurses (RNs) are responsible for delivering quality nursing care to our patients and ensuring their safety and continued care and improvement. All of our RNs play a pivotal role in the treatment planning process as well as patient and family education.

What Will You Get To Do?
Charge Nurses (RN) are responsible for completing a variety of duties and tasks including:
Supervising Staff RNs, LPNs and Mental Health Assistants.
Assessing patients through interactions with the patient and health care providers.
Developing comprehensive interdisciplinary treatment plans and monitoring patient’s progress toward meeting treatment plan objectives.
Administering medications in a safe, accurate, and timely manner.
Monitoring patients following nursing unit policies, procedures and standard nursing protocols
Communicating changes in patient’s status with attending physician.
Leading shift change report.
What Does Peachford Require for this Role?
A valid State of Georgia Nursing (RN) (Registered Nurse) License or eNLC License from a participating state is required. Previous psychiatric, behavioral or mental health nursing experience and one year in a leadership role is preferred.
