Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Cyber-security Engineer ( SIEM ) to join our team in the Washington , DC area to provide unparalleled support to our customer and to begin an exciting and rewarding career within ManTech.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Support and maintain IBM’s QRadar Security Information and Event Management ( SIEM ) implementation(s).
Subject Matter Expert ( SME ) in IBM QRadar data on-boarding and normalization.
Primary day-to-day job duties involve log sources management, operation & Maintenance, and working with QRadar plugins (Pulse, Watson, UBA)
Reporting to the Director of Cyber security, you will perform requirements analysis, design, and integration of complex application add-on and functionalities associated with the QRadar SIEM.
Configuring and connecting Custom Log Sources for business applications.
Provide additional work writing custom QRadar Device Support Module ( DSM ) modules for data collecting, parsing, and mapping for custom business applications.
Providing enterprise level disaster recovery solutions related to cybersecurity operations.
Knowledge of Active Directory, Windows security, endpoint security, Intrusion Detection System ( IDS )/ Intrusion Prevention System ( IPS ), or security tools.
Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics ( STEM ) discipline preferred and at least three to five years of related Information Technology ( IT ) experience.
Three plus years of hands-on experience with QRadar architecture AND/OR deployment for a large-scale enterprise environment.
Experience with infrastructure management and support and system administration in Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux ( RHEL ) environments.
Advanced Automation, Scripting and Application Program interface ( API ) engineering background.
Understanding for security event analysis and intrusion detection (IDS/IPS Incident response, triage, incident analysis and remediation).
Provide critical systems and application vulnerability support including maintenance tickets for a large intrusion detection management system.
Possess strong technical written and verbal communication skills essential.
Security Requirements:

Must possess an United States citizenship and an active Top Secret ( TS ) clearance.
Highly Desired Experience:

Splunk Enterprise Security experience.
Industry standard certifications preferred such as: Red Hat Certified Engineer ( RHCE ), Red Hat Certified System Administrator ( RHCSA ), Certified Information Systems Security Professional ( CISSP ), security+, Linux+, or other SANS Institute’s Global Information Assurance Certification ( GIAC ), International Information System Security Certification Consortium ( ISC ) ² certifications.
Experience with Cloud Solution build preferred.
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
Constantly positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
Must be able to detect, Determine, Perceive, Identify, Recognize, Judge, Observe, Inspect, Estimate, & Assess.
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
