The Big Picture
The Company representative with primary financial responsibility for the project(s) assigned. Has authority to commit the Company on matters of cost and schedule in accordance with prescribed authority. Serves as the Company’s point of contact with the owner of the project as well as the general public in matters related to the project. Participates in the selection of the project staff, and has primary responsibility for their performance in constructing the project within cost and schedule parameters.
Your Day to Day
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with current and past owners, subcontractors, consultants, vendors, suppliers, etc.
Develop high performance teams through supervision, training, coaching, and mentoring. Ensure regular feedback is shared with staff including timely completion of employee performance appraisals.
Represent the Company in community and industry organizations.
Participate in budget development of assigned projects and ensure the financial success of each project.
Participate in Project Bid Review of target projects.
Provide leadership to the project team and keep abreast of all issues affecting the project.
Ensure Company policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to on the project.
Lead project start up and oversee development of project plan.
Ensure quality proposals and submission of Change Orders.
Develop project coordination meetings to ensure communication, schedule, safety, and costs are meeting target goals.
Inform project stakeholders informed on cost and dispute issues that may affect financial status.
Ensure project close-out is performed in a timely fashion.
Sponsor company working groups as appropriate or as assigned.
Support and drive utilization of various Company initiatives and technologies.
Assume overall responsibility for safety, cost, schedule, quality, and employee relations on each project.
Perform other duties as assigned or required
How You Contribute
Thorough knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing and engineering principles and techniques, as well as accounting principles.
Ability to seek out and find business opportunities.
Must have knowledge of regional market and sales/closing skills.
Proven written and verbal communication abilities; proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite.
Must have advanced presentation skills.
Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.
Ability to implement leading-edge technologies such as BIM and LEAN to benefit the project.
Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
