You will be working with and supported by a world classteam of colleagues and leaders who will empower you to be at the forefront ofdata-driven analytics and visualization on our Business Intelligence squad inthe Personal Investing division. While our ideal candidate will reside within commuting distance of our Westlake offices, we will consider a candidate who might base in one of the listed alternative locations. We may also consider a candidate who would be 100% remote.
The ExpertiseWe’re Looking For
BS/BA degree with 5+ years knowledge in computational, predictive or business analytics, computer science, information and data science, or statistics.
3-5+ years’ experience building and delivering tools and capabilities that enable new insights through self-service analytics within a cloud infrastructure.
You should have experience of using AWS services like EC2, S3, EMR to move data onto a cloud platform
You should have proven analytical and problem-solving skills
You should be strong in Database and Data Warehousing concepts.
Work to accelerate the migration of our existing data ecosystem to cloud based platforms.
Object oriented programming skills, which may include Python, and/or R.
Certification as an AWS Cloud Practioner or Solutions Architect preferred but not required.
Naturally collaborative with experience working in an Agile environment, including with remote teams.
Experience testing, evaluating and deploying new analytic tools for an enterprise.
Experience with big data technologies / languages such as Spark, Hadoop, Apache Pig, Hive.
Excellent written, oral communication, project management and presentation skills, and the ability to present complex data and statistics in a simple and clear way
Demonstrated track record of customer-focused engagement and collaboration is required
The Purpose ofYour Role
Fidelity is looking for a leader indata analytics and business intelligence to be a creative and collaborativeteam member, helping modernize and democratize the use of data and analyticsacross the Personal Investing (PI) division of Fidelity. This work willspan a wide range of structured and unstructured data, as well as a wide rangeof use cases. It will also be part of Fidelity’s effort to migrate to thecloud and leverage leading open source and commercial capabilities in the areasof data analytics and business intelligence.
