Supply Chain Planner

Develop and execute strategies to improve component availability and optimize inventory management for the Endress+Hauser Flow U.S. operations. Create constrained short term and long-term supply plans for global manufacturing facilities and external suppliers in Europe and NAFTA regions.
This role will contribute to the sales and operations planning (S&OP) process by providing the leadership required for achieving continuous improvement of the component forecasting, safety stock and lead time optimization.
Apply data and analytical skills to drive improvements in forecast accuracy, total costs of ownership and reductions in material shortages in a low volume, high proliferation supply chain].
Key Areas of Responsibility
Defines and develops materials planning strategies for optimizing total cost and minimizing component shortages in a low-volume, high proliferation environment
Responsible for the assessment of global supply resources (internal and external)
Aggregates and prioritizes demand requirements; plans inventory, purchases materials
Participates in make/buy process, short to long-term capacity and resource planning; product phase-in/phase-out, manufacturing ramp-up, and end-of-life management
Analyzes and aggregates supply / demand requirements. Analyzes purchase material supply/demand position using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools
Plans inventory levels based on dependent and independent Bill-of-Materials (BOM) requirements
Assesses rough-cut capacity for current and short-term manufacturing requirements
Creates/reduces supply requirements based on inventory adjustments
Participates in long-term capacity and resource planning to ensure proper scheduling of new product line phase-ins as well as existing product line phase-outs
Interfaces with global supply chain teams regarding inventory levels, working capital and other areas as needed
Interfaces with Scheduling, Marketing and Order Administration to provided delivery request to support customer special delivery requests
Manages Commodities monitoring and informing key stake holders of changes that impact, cost, quality, and delivery
Creates/releases requisitions. Receives/reviews requirements for non-standard parts
Analyzes lead times and identifies critical path procurements
Additional duties and tasks will be assigned
Internal and External Suppliers, Finance, Operations, Procurement, Engineering and other Supply Chain team members
This is a global role that requires ability work effectively with team members from diverse backgrounds and cultures: Europe, China, India and Brazil
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B. A./B.S.) from four-year college or university in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations or other related areas. Prior work experience and/or training in Supply Chain planning
APICS or other supply chain certification is a plus
