Collection Financial Analyst performs periodic cash application review and analysis:
Responsible for placing collection calls, emails and /or on delinquent accounts, employing appropriate follow-up methods until payment has been received.
Document daily collection activities including current conversation notes
Responsible for receiving and resolving internal and external inquiries related to clients’ financial accounts.
The position interfaces with billing, pricing, account managers, project managers, etc to obtain needed information to resolve clients’ questions.
Assists with the coordination of work requirements for all external, internal, and special audits (including quarterly SOX audits).
Support the efforts of the collections team in order to achieve and maintain an acceptable level of DSO.
Reviewing payment posting related issues on customer accounts when needed
Analyze and resolve the ongoing On Account (OA) and duplicate activity
Streamline and reduce overall OA duplicate postings
Initiating requests for refund checks and tracks approval process until delivery
Administer the A/R email inbox, distribute and/or accordingly
Provides detailed Analysis of the underlying cash flow risk for all clients
Communication of credit risk and Account Financial Performance Analysis to Contracts and AR Manager.
Performs other related duties or Participates in process improvement initiatives intended to improve global delivery of Accounts receivable revenue recognition within Central Laboratories.
Create client cost accrual as requested by internal and external clients
Create manual Advance invoices based upon client contractual agreement in a timely and accurate manner.
Responsible for the distribution of the invoices for designated accounts
Assists Finance / Accounting management as required
Minimum of three to four (3-4) years comparable experience. Extensive knowledge of and ability to use and create database and spreadsheet packages. MS Excel proficiency required and MS Access proficiency preferred. Ability to give and follow written and oral instructions, as well as be self-driven to achieve company and departmental objectives. Ability to interact with employees of a variety of developmental and socio-cultural backgrounds. Outstanding verbal and written skills with exposure to senior management. Strong planning, organizational, and problem solving skills Prior use of ERP and Operational systems (demonstrated knowledge of database / system connectivity) Ability to understand database structure, system interaction, and transaction flow among disparate systems.
BA or BS degree in Finance or Accounting or related field
