Job Description

The Information Technology (IT) team plays a key role in providing business enablement throughout ResMed. Brightree is hiring a talented individual to become part of our Information Security team in Peachtree Corners. The Security Engineer will be responsible for the daily operational support of security systems and analysis of hardware and software to ensure compliance with Brightree security standards. This position requires a minimum of five years of experience working in information technology with a specialty in security in a complex production environment.

Let’s talk about Responsibilities

Perform monitoring and analysis of logs, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, FW, Office 365 and other security and network technologies for threats.
Provide technical expertise and guidance for security tools that control and monitor information security.
Perform scans of network-attached systems to ensure compliance with policies and security standards.
Monitor internal control systems to ensure appropriate information access levels and security clearances are maintained.
Proactively conduct security threat and impact assessments as input to the overall information security strategy.
Assist with monthly security risk assessment meetings with the IT Operations team.
Monitor, track, and address vulnerabilities identified in Brightree networks and applications.
Assist with the delivery of Brightree’s security awareness programs and the associated training.
Keep current with security threats in the industry.
Monitor the security infrastructure for policy violations or security events, assists with resolution of escalated incidents and participates in problem management activities.
Assist in security incident response planning, testing, and participate in or lead security incident response activities.
Lead or support security programs, projects or tasks.
Prepare weekly and monthly reports that summarize the analysis and incidents and insights captured.
Perform daily/weekly/monthly maintenance duties for supported environments
Problem Analysis (identifying abnormalities, etc.) and resolution, monitoring and documenting.
Conduct hardware/software audits of Brightree systems for compliance with established standards, policies, procedures and configuration guidelines.
Perform vendor security audits on potential systems/services which Brightree is looking to use to ensure the solution is securely based on its intended purpose.
Work with users, developers, and system administrators and other technical and business staff to aid, maintain, and continuously improve security posture.
Support security governance activities (risk management, policy/standards, compliance).
Provide security support to other SaaS business units as needed.

Let’s talk about Qualifications and Experience

Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent experience.
Any of the following Security certifications: CISSP, CISM, CEH, Security+, MCSE, SSCP or equivalent, CCSP Cloud Certificate.
3+ years technical experience with AWS & Azure Cloud environments.
5-7 years technical experience including the following areas:
Systems Administration and Support of Windows systems
Active Directory & Group Policies
Network Support experience implementing and supporting:
Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW)
Load balancers
Web Application Firewalls (WAF)
Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM)
Intrusion detection system (IDS) monitoring
Disaster Recovery
Security Incident response
Configuration Management
Server hardening (Windows/Linux)
Secure configurations for network infrastructure
CIS Benchmarks
Vulnerability Management
Penetration Testing
Vulnerability scanning
In-depth experience installing, configuring and supporting operating systems in production environments such as Microsoft Windows 7-10, Windows Server 2008 – 2019, RedHat Enterprise Linux 7 & Ubuntu 14-20.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint to map metrics and trends.
Ability to analyze and interpret Windows, Linux & network infrastructure logs.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to reprioritize tasking priorities on short notice and identify & communicate the impact of change.
