Amalgamated Bank seeks a full time Senior Human Resources Generalist to manage a wide range of HR tasks, such as organizing trainings, administering the banks goals and development process, crafting HR policies related to talent, development and succession planning. This individual will also act as the main point of contact for employees’ queries on HR talent and development topics and take on day to day HR generalist responsibilities across the bank.
Essential Job Functions:
Develop and maintain talent management processes.
Monitor employee morale and company culture.
Assist in the planning of bank-wide succession planning.
Manage Learning & Development System and vendor.
Implement and manage employee Development Calendar.
Manage Leadership Training Programs.
Assist in managing the Diversity and Inclusion Program.
Analyzing, collecting, and organizing firm-wide employee data.
Clarifying and solving talent and development problems.
Evaluating and implementing potential solutions related to employee culture.
Offering counseling and coaching to managers and employees alike
Preparing reports related to tracking development and training outcomes.
Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics.
Organize quarterly and annual employee performance review process.
Implement the employee values and evolve how the bank measures performance.
Proven leadership skills and managing effectively in a dynamic environment.
Completing a wide variety of special projects.
Perform other duties as directed.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Seven (7) to ten (10) years of human resources experience
Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
Prior use of HR data and analytics
Aptitude in problem-solving and vendor management
Excellent communication and people skills
Ability to communicate with senior leaders and build relationships across the bank
Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to influence without authority
